I watched & heard New Moon

New Moon (the movie) is 100% better than Twilight (the first sequel).. though New Moon is my least favorite book from the saga.. Umm, coz Edward gone. And Bella is so pathetic in that book (dba ysiad?)

When we watched Twilight last year, my first reaction was "bitin!" and it's like a school project.. Ok I get it, it's a low budget film.. But it's TWILIGHT and aylabit! ♥

Anyway, the best part was:

I just had 2 hearing tests yesterday (October 16) and I passed both hearing tests.. with flying colors! Dra. Chiong said my hearing level now is so great considering I have tumors in my brain.. It's so amazing!

my CI is low on battery that's why the sound i'm hearing is not so loud, i'm finding it hard to differentiate the sound from tinnitus that's why i also raise my hands even though there's no sound from the machine.. but i heard the sounds.. i passed!

I just finished watching Tuesdays with Morrie based on the book by Mitch Albom..

After watching the film, I told myself that I'll read this book again.. I love love love Tuesdays with Morrie.. it's really inspiring.. it made me realize a lot of things.. Helped me when I read it in 2006..

"when you're in bed you're dead." - maybe not literally dead.. but the quote from the book help me realize that: "hey! i'm alive! i shouldn't be stuck in bed."

My name is Johanna Tejada-Medalla and I am a mother of two young boys and daughter named Jorge Rafael, Julian Hanns and Janine Marie Victoria. We are living in my parent’s house at 40 Kennedy Drive Tandang Sora Quezon City 1116, Philippines.

I wrote this letter to ask for your support to our only daughter Janine Marie Victoria. My daughter Janine was born with a life threatening disease called “Biliary Atresia” . It is a congenital condition characterize by the absence or closure of the bile ducts that drain bile from the liver. Biliary Atresia is a progressive inflammatory process that begins very soon after birth. In Janine’s case, she was diagnosed initially with Neonatal Hepatitis at 2 1/2 months and after two weeks of medication nothing changes with her color and stool that make her paediatrician decided to have another biopsy, eventually it turned out to be Biliary Atresia. During that time, there was already a significant amount of damage to her liver. White blood cells invaded the ducts, which became damaged or closed completely, bile was then trapped inside the liver and rapidly caused liver cirrhosis.

The Truth

we went to Kamay ni Hesus in Lucban yesterday.. thanks to my mom's friend Tita Melba..

I slept early on Friday night because, tita Melba will pick us up at 5:30am.. i slept around, 10pm.. that's early for me.. Haha!

I had a (fantasy?) dream.. I was sword fighting with villain in the story (this sentence is c/o Maro).. I stabbed him.. then he exploded.. I woke up because I heard the loud explosion. When I opened my eyes, I thought there was an explosion outside.. Then the electricity went off. Brownout. I asked my mom what was that LOUD explosion.. I found out it was the thunder & it's raining hard. I thought there was a war going on outside.. Haha.

Wow I woke up because of the sound of the thunder. SOUND. I wasn't even wearing my cochlear implant.. I don't wear my CI to sleep..

That was around 3am and we thought our trip to Lucban won't pushed through.. But tita Melba called & said she'll pick us up..

It's raining here, but when we reached the south, it's so sunny.. and HOT!

We attended the healing mass, of course it was held by Fr. Joey Faller.. We went inside during the healing (after the mass) and while my mom was positioning me together with other people on wheels. Fr. Joey said: "Kat Kat andito ka" while he was giving a talk.. Kat-Kat.. dalawa ako.. Hehe.

I don't look in the mirror often..

"I noticed you have no mirrors," I said.
"They serve no purpose," he told me.
"Because they're mostly for vanity?" I questioned.
"More than that," he answered. "Those who've marred their appearance in any way by their actions in life aren't forced to witness that marring. If they were, they'd become self-conscious and be unable to concentrate on improving themselves."
