A few weeks ago, someone posted on my page I AM KCAT on Facebook, seeking help for her sick son by posting about it and spreading his story. As usual, I overlooked that post and it was only yesterday that I got to talk to her. Good thing she was currently online when I sent her a message on Facebook.

A few days ago, my friend (I mean gwapong friend. Haha) Armin’s niece, Vera posted a message on my Facebook timeline asking me to repost the link she sent me.

It’s about her friend, Manel, who was diagnosed and battling with cancer.

Joshua Esteras, 15-year old, is in need of a blood transfusion. He's confined at the Philippine Children's Hospital in Quezon Ave., QC.

I used to be an average 15 year old guy who has many goals and dreams in life. I love hanging out with my buds, play mindless hours of video games and play some awesome musical instruments. On a fateful February 11, I was diagnosed with ALL cancer

Cancer begins in the cells,which we have learned are the building blocks of the body. Under normal conditions, our bodies produce new cells as we grow and as we need them. They replace the old cells that die. However, under abnormal conditions, some new cells grow in the body when they are not needed, and the old cells do not die when they should. These kinds of cells eventually form a mass called tumor.


In spite of the numerous tumors that I have in my brain, I am truly blessed that they are benign, not malignant. Nevertheless, a tumor is a tumor — it can still be harmful. My Neurofibromatosis (NF2) disease is not a form of cancer, although many people mistakenly take it as one of The Big C. I am never offended by it. I explain to them patiently what NF2 really is.

I have met a lot of people who are/were suffering from cancer. Some amazingly survived it, others are still battling with it and sadly there were those who lost the battle and passed :( but at least they fought until the very end.

I recently underwent surgery on my left breast last August 2, 2011. The initial findings revealed that I have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Stage II-A, which will require me to undergo 20 chemotherapy sessions. Each session will cost me P52,782. I have already begun the first session on September 1, 2011 and the succeeding sessions will be 21 days after each cycles.

Ms. Aileen Viray was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPCA) with intracranial extensions, commonly known as malignant cancer of the nasopharynx.. multiple tumors developed on both sides of her neck which required her to undergo a major operation and she has to undergo radiation therapy after. She'll also be needing a hip replacement since she's been having trouble walking..

Whenever someone adds me on Multiply or what ever social networking I joined (except Facebook - strictly for friends only.. strictly talaga.. haha.), I just visit the homepage and confirm it.. Then I just browse around their site whenever I receive an email of their site-update..

Then I saw this:

I immediately clicked on the link to his site.. Then my heart ached. *ouch* my brain hurts pala.. Hehe.
