From Jen Arellano:
Christmas is one of the most awaited day of the year for every Christians aside from celebrating the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ , this is also the time to extend our hand to our fellows who are in need. Its the time of giving, sharing and reaching out.
Maaring 'pag narinig nating OFW ang unang pumapasok sa isip ng ay dollar, chocolates, gadgets, out of the country at kung ano-ano pang mga material things but on the other face its different.
It's my 5th year this 2012 to participate in reaching out our distressed kababayans who are under the custody of OWWA, Doha Qatar.
I personally heard their stories and witnessed how they struggling in staying here away from their families. I witnessed how they cry when somebody is comforting them, giving foods and assured them that they are love and there is hope - that someday they can be with their family again.
And from then on, I told to myself if I can do something for them - I will.
This coming December 20, 2012 BE WITH US in GIVING LOVE, SHARING YOUR BLESSINGS, and REACHING OUT.
At this time, we don't have the exact numbers of our kababayans who are in OWWA custody, but we are hoping that their numbers will be lessen (meaning many of them will be home this Christmas).
