Karen Bernal & I have been friends since after I featured her on my column. I already knew her before the article came out, and then we really got to know each other and became closer after after constant FB'ing, YM'ing & texting. I'm happy to be her inspiration & confidant. She visited me when I was in PGH last April, but my operation was still on-going that time.
